This isn't just
any old chickie illustration, it's a charming narrative: the
naughty little blue-headed peep has drawn a caricature of
his humorless schoolmaster, much to the amusement of his
classmates (the ones in the second row seem to be having a
fit of some sort; I can only hope it's laughter), and is
being soundly whipped. Meanwhile, somebody has spilled ink
on the floor - the chickie in the last row knows more
beatings are on the way!
The text reads,
